Very cool! Secret underground tunnels!
Nearly as cool as the tunnels at Central High School!
So have you gone down Vince? We had a few of these at our campus and about once a year, after we drank too much, we would go on a little adventure.
The stories of the tunnels under UT pop up in the media every few years, after someone gets arrested or files a lawsuit, or whatever. I've never been down there, but I first heard about them back in '98 or '99 when stories cropped up about hippie pot parties down there decades ago. Not sure if those are true, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit.
Yeah I knew they were down there, but I'd never seen them before, even in pictures. I don't know what makes them seem so cool.
Hey you want to know something else that's totally pointless and off the subject? I've been reading Burnt Orange Nation pretty regularly now and realized after looking at all the White House pics, one of the guys, Travis Richmond, we tried to get that guy to pledge back in like '98. In fact, I think he was on the yacht the day that kid jumped off and drowned. That's probably what scared him off.
I've been in the tunnels. Some times for class, some times for work, and once or twice because I was bored and went exploring. They're pretty hard to get into from most places... unless you're a decent lock-pick. Also, there are parts with motion sensors, cameras, and other surveylance stuff. So, if you aren't supposed to be down there and UT finds out, you'll be in deep doodoo. That's my 2 cents.
